Change the Diaper So We Can Believe Again

The President and most of Washington’s politicians are simply full of shit. Change we can believe in, is about like Bush Sr. saying “No New Taxes”. Bald faced liars are running our country and what are we doing about it, NOTHING! No protests in the streets, no headlines in our major papers about crimes of power. Washington/Obama/Bush- kidnapping is approved, torture was approved and while allegedly off the agenda now, no one who did it is being called to account, wars of aggression, indefinite detention with out charge, habeas corpus gone, due process whats that, maybe even murder. Over 500 prisonershave been released from Gitmo these are people who were held for years without charge, then poof they decide to let them go? WTF? Torture, prisoner abuse, classified photos of torture, sexual assault, soldiers and contractors shooting gay porno pics with prisoners, bailing out criminal corporations, refusal to yield to the will of the electorate and give us Single Payer, the Patriot Act, military budgets running out of control while our infrastructure and economy are in desperate need of repair; WHAT WONT WE TOLLERATE! Let America be America agin, the land that never was!

All too often in this country those who speak out against crimes of our government get branded anti-American, commies or some other intended deprecating label, well I say all of those who are sitting quiet while our country goes in the toilet are complacent sheep being herded to the slaughter. Wake the fuck up and resist, lets make something respectable of our country. For years we have lived on the fat of the land reaping the benefits of imperialism and military aggression, using the military, the World Bank and IMF to control our colonies economy’s, supporting dictators, training terrorists in Ft. Benning GA. at the School of the Assassins and undermining democracy here and abroad. Appointments of corporate polluters to police the environment. This is fascism folks. Bush was doing the same thing, putting the fox in chare of the chicken coop. Only an informed and active electorate can put these mutha fucka’s in check. Forget about partisan politics Obama is not the problem and neither was Bush, our system has been hijacked and only we can take it back.

I found this article very refreshingly pure and honest. It definitely would not adorn the opinion of the masses. It has been said that the brightest among us do not agree to the general concensus of mass opinion… With that said; you must be a genius!

In my country (Canada) it is discouraged to speak out from the general social opinion; strongly in my rural area… Likely you encounter resistance to speaking your mind there too. Kudos to you for getting your voice out there and saying it like it is; good for you sir.

Thanx much for reading my blog Judy. Dissent is ok in this country but people don’t like too much of it, I have been called anti-American more times than I can count. But I seem to have different standards for what could make this a great nation, more to do with our ideals than Washingtons actions. Thank You for your kind words.

That’s the great thing about America you have the freedom of speech. Unfortunately, the politicians in Washington are there for the money and don’t actually listen to what the American people say. They keep doing it because so many people vote for them without ever really knowing what they are doing. Anytime politicians do anything that would normal anger voters to no end, the media covers it up with something else. I think everyone in Washington DC needs to study a little history of when this country was started. “All men are created equal” and the choices they make determine who they become. Every human born has an opportunity to become whoever they want. Unfortunately, in recent years our government has made it to where not only do people have an equal opprtunity but also can get an equal outcome without working for it.

I strongly feel that the whole country needs to get back to the basics of “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.”

Dsent, once again, you have made the FBI’s watch list my friend. At least we still have the tenets of free speech left. good article anyway. I agree with some of what you say. Our system sucks. Politicians generally have the only jobs in America that are stable and they cant be fired from for poor performance. Add that to voting for a raise for yourself, and you have a system in need of repair.

    ndfenc,
Thanx for reading, and if I stop posting yeah I’m probably in Gitmo. but hey your right the tenets of free speech is a huge thing to have left, I think we better use it wisely before it disapears.

great article, I couldn’t agree with you more. My thing is, how do you get mutha fuckas to listen when they don’t want to hear it? As long as people have a 9-5, food on the table and their favorite tv show on the tube, people could give two shits about what our gov is doing. I blame the public k-12 system 100% for this. The government wants to keep people dumb so they can mold them into complient citizenry that doesn’t ask question. I hope some day we as a people wake up before its too late. keep speakin the truth bro.peace

    AZ,
You struck at the root of the problem. Comfort makes for complacency. Progressive change has many eliments, economic stress is frequently a catalyst to increased class consciousness; and class consciousness combined with worker solidarity is essential to contoling our government. You are correct in saying that education is critical. However to understand current events and respond appropriately citizens need to be informed and at present most americans get most of their news from the corporate media. The corporate media is a tepid establishment mouth piece. But now days Americans have the internet and that can be HUGE. Having some leaders would be real handy but they may crop up as demand for them increases.
The thing is the citizens/workers can not be denied. We built this shit. And nothing gets done without our hands at the crank. So to be brief- Education, Solidarity, Class Consciousness and a commitment to Non-Violence. When at last we realize that there are an elite group of people fucking us then togather we stand up and demand whats ours, there will be no choice, there are WAY more of us than them.

    Becky,
Ok well, the founders held slaves so how you can assert that they actually believed all men are created equal is beyond my understanding. The belief in “equal oppertunity” is also discontected from reality. People have different abilitys and different access to education. Equality only exists in math and to say they have equal outcomes is totally divorced from reality. If you care about your country’s history I strongly encourage you to learn about it, try Howard Zinn “the Peoples History of the United States” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lHthW6kh-N8

    Becky,

People don’t have equal opportunity. The kids in Baltimore schools dont even have school books they can take home to study. Dsent has been reading my blog for some time and can probably attest to the article I wrote about the inequalities of inner city education. These kids stand no chance of doing anything but trying to stay alive. To add insult to injury, educational stats for the state of Maryland are all lumped in together so Baltimore doesn’t appear like it has a problem. Several days this school year, kids on the school lunch program went hungry because the appropiation was delayed. Does that sound like equality?

    ndfence,
Damn straight sista its hard to learn on an empty belly and there damn sure aint no equal education when you cant even get a text book to do homework.
    Peace

at the very least they have access to a public library… and if parents would teach them determination students k-12 actually come up with some of the best ideas when their ideas are properly fostered…

Yes school systems that don’t provide a proper education are hindering children that attend them… however their parents have the liberty to change school districts, put them in private schools, or home school… I am a graduate of the public school system, however, of the education I received almost none come the school… most of what I have learned in my short life has been from books checked out of a public library or read while I was there… some even from my father who made sure that I understood that what was in the history textbooks of the public schools is almost never right and some of the most important things have been left out to make the government look better…

final point… if the student is hungry, the parent needs to do something to better that situation… one of those students on the school lunch program is at my house when his mom runs out of food… and yes it is his mom’s fault for spending her social security check on alcohol instead of taking care of her child

    Becky,
talking about how their parrents sholdn’t be poor doesn’t do anything to help poor children. In the short time you refer to about learning from books they didnt seem to impress upon you the fantasy of equality. Seriously you are confronted with the suggestion that a poor child is getting an inferior education and you reply that his parrents could stick them in private school. ??? Earth to Becky. Poor people cant pay for private school.
