Talk is cheap and war is hella expensive. But for some reason its hard to talk to our enemy’s, and our enemies use to be our friends so why can’t we talk? Maybe because there ain’t no money in peace. Remember when the US was funding the Taliban? Probably not, most people have selective amnesia, remembering what they choose to remember and forgetting what they choose to forget. Now we are chasing around the mountains of Afghanistan trying to kill people we once gave millions of dollars to, hmm. Possibly its all bullshit. Remember when India and Pakistan were trying to obtain nukes and the US lent its tacit approval? Probably not. People don’t like to remember things that reflect negatively on their country. Patriotism is akin to a religion and people seem to have he ability to choose what they believe. Not me. I believe what seems credible to me and if I can’t make sense of it I don’t believe it, period. I don’t have control of what I believe, I wish I did. If I did I would still be praying for Jesus to come and take away all the worlds trouble, but now that shit just seems retarded to me. I grew up and I sure wish my fellow countrymen would do the same, grow the fuck up. The enemy is war and the perpetrator is big business, war is where the money is, there ain’t no money in peace, that’s why we don’t have any peace. We have the technical ability to feed the world but who would profit from that? No one, that’s why its not happening. Profit reigns supreme. And humanitarian values don’t mean shit, for now anyway. But Its up too you. We can continue on the same path of war and greed or we can look inside ourselves and see what makes us tick. MONEY, POWER and SEX. But what makes us human and brings happiness and inner peace? …. Hmm, service to others, reducing suffering and compassion. But they are in short supply right now. Try harder my brethren and sisters. Try harder. Fear and war are our enemy, show courage and resist the urge to kill people or support killing people. And if you can, do something to relieve suffering, if only to see how it makes you feel. What the hell what do you really stand to loose? Give it a shot.
