                Fascism is not on the march in this country it is on a Ducati. It’s been such a busy week and it’s what Tuesday? The Israelis are planning 73,000 new settlement homes in the West Bank, Cops are beating children in jail, we find out the military was spying on us with the OK of the Just-is Department, the Rockefeller Laws coming up for review, the CIA admits they destroyed 92 tapes of them torturing vics and the Dow drops below 7,000 for the 1^st time in 11years. It’s time to go back to bed and try waking up again. The shit seems to be hitting the fan.

               This is not a dream, it is the National Security State coming into its own, or if you prefer the time for revolution has come. But not the kind of revolution that comes from the barrel of a gun, rather the type that comes from solidarity of the electorate. It is time for a new system. The Constitution has already been thrown in the trash we are just waiting for the trash to go into the fire. And Obama looks to have a match in his hand. We must demand more. Not health care for 11million uninsured children, HEALH CARE FOR ALL, not bailouts for criminal CEOs, Accountability for greasy bankers and industrialist scumbags, in a word CHANGE. But not the bullshit cosmetic kind Obama is offering, but substantial change. Like let’s quit sending Israel billions of dollars every year, since they continue to be a destabilizing force in the Middle East. How about, a moratorium on war for a few years? Oh, I know how about putting an end to this bullshit drug war. Maybe we could take all the money we save locking people up for dope, making war and bailing out bankers and CEOs, stick it into health care and begin to attempt to put our country back together. We have been robbed folks. Face it, corporate thugs and war mongers have looted the Treasury and we are broke. Now we can just let them keep bleeding us dry or we can stand up and fight the power.

                Resistance to the National Security State is a moral imperative.

                 We are citizens of the most powerful industrialized nation EVER, FUCKIN EVER! And our citizens lack access to definitive health care! If this is the best our system can do for us then fuck it, let’s try again. I am not prepared to believe we lack the capacity to feed, house and provide health care to all of our citizens. We simply lack the will to do so, given the political climate in which we live. It would require a revolution. And people are afraid of revolution. In revolution people go to jail and get killed. But you know what, sometimes revolutions lead to things like freedom of speech, due process of law, protection against unlawful searches yes it’s true. It works, this thing called revolution. But the days of revolution coming out of the barrel of a gun are long over. The government has more guns and they will use them. But a conscious revolution can not be put down with guns. The necessity of NON-VIOLENCE is critical. Doctor King and Gandhi were right. The human bonds of courage and compassion are the weapons of choice for this revolution. Put away partisan politics, put away international aggression, and focus on cleaning up our own back yard. When we don’t have people sleeping in our streets and when anyone who needs health care gets it, then we have a nation to be proud of but until then we have work to do at home and we could use the help of our soldiers. Bring them home to help get this country back on its feet. War is not a jobs program that benefits the country, it just kills people.

                The STATUS QUO; It is real. There are actually powerful people in this country and around the world who likes they slaves! Poverty generates good worker bees. Hey, if everyone knew they would have a roof, even a dorm room style, and have food and health care, who the fuck is going to work for the shit wages McDonalds or a myriad of other company’s pay their workers. The threat of being on the street keeps people in shit jobs. Now I’m not saying we put the poor up at the Ritz, I’m saying we can make sure people have access to hot food, shelter and medical care. It only requires the intent. Most people desire to better themselves, and their community if provided with the opportunity, it’s why there are like six billion of us. We are social creatures; collective action has insured our survival. We would have floundered years ago with out it, the world is simply too dangerous to go it alone. We need each other. I just don’t have the time each day to hunt, collect/grow vegetables, learn auto mechanics to fix my car and fabricate the parts, I need a butcher and a grocer and a mechanic a tool and die shop. And I think it is in my interest when my mechanic is injured and unable to work that he get the medical care he needs so he can get back to work on my car. It’s not a matter of socialism or Marxist doctrine it’s just fuckin common sense. If we expect to ever have a government we can respect we must 1^st let it be know what type of government would command our respect. I say that is a democratic government that insures the domestic welfare and stays the hell out of our way. Don’t tell me what drugs to take, don’t tell me who I can or can’t marry and do something productive with my fuckin taxes other than make war and buy off bankers.

                Idealistic; you’re damn straight. The citizens of this country can not accomplish what they dare not dream of; it’s time to put away the self-serving values of the past and begin to find solutions to problems like Peak Oil, Climate Change, War and Hunger. When we can accomplish this at home then we can consider taking our show on the road. But right now in places like Afghanistan and Iraq, we are not “nation building” we are opening up the public coffers to greedy war profiteers, killing people, creating terrorists and committing acts of terror. Let’s build our own nation before we start building other peoples.
